Winter's Bone

Tiny pieces of hope hold me together, though barely as its tears me apart

You hold on to those tiny little pieces of hope. Holding back the tears every time, wanting to choke, only leaving you tightly gripped in that the hope won’t slip.
Taking up more space than they're worth, keeping them just in case.

Living and dying all at the same time; tiny pieces, one at a time.
Tiny specs walking a thin line, the fear keeps you swinging a very fragile vine.
Constantly hoping your faith will sprout another in your fight to go on, only leaving you stranded half way there. Why is it you refuse to give up?

All in your head it’s completely absurd; you just can’t see it because your vision is so blurred.
Petite tiny pieces of hope are all you have, why can’t you see it isn’t on this path?

Change your direction and choose another, one with no doorways or forks to discover.
Some questions never need to be asked if you find the right path.
Walk straight ahead, leave your pieces behind, leaving that to free up your mind.
The answers lie just ahead, you just have to walk the line.
Have the confidence and peace, you had it all the time. Looking to others keeps you bound to sadness and a life that is for fools

  1. I really enjoyed your poem it will captured the emotional parts of the story and shows that the author really has put alot of emotion into the story. Great job!

  2. That was really well done. I don't have any scrutiny to offer, seems how I can't write a poem to save my life. I had a lot of the same compulsion the story did. Excellent work, and sorry I don't have anything more substantial to offer.
